FORT CAMPBELL, KY– On Thursday, October 30, a military family member reported two men pretending to be a casualty notification officer and chaplain visited her home and falsely notified her that her deployed Soldier had been killed.
The man impersonating the notification officer was wearing a Class A “dress green” uniform and the other was wearing civilian clergy attire.
There have been a few incidents of this nature in the past two months involving family members living off post, but Thursday’s incident occurred on post. The spouse did not allow the pair into her home and when they left contacted the Family Readiness Support Assistant and Rear Detachment Commander to confirm the information. The command let her know her spouse is still alive and worked to put him in contact with her as soon as possible. Military police were notified and a police report was taken at the scene.
It’s not that we don’t have much to say, it’s just that we find it incredibly hard to type when we’re fighting an urge to take a road trip to Kentucky with the trunk full of nasty toys.
If we were to lay our hands on those subhuman sacks of wasted protoplasm, then it would be their families getting a visit from a couple of guys in uniform.
Only those guys wouldn’t be impostors. And the families would probably do well to opt out of an open casket funeral unless they knew a mortician with truly superhuman skills.
Just sayin’, ’s all.

I do hope these imposters are punished with long prison terms in a military jail. “A police report was taken at the scene” doesn’t sound too promising though. I’ve attended the funerals for two KIA’s and have seen the grief of the families. How devoid of a conscious or any decency do you have to be to do something like this? Is this barbaric level of cruelty and hate what passes for protest these days??? If this is the level of ugliness that the creatures of the left have sunk to….and the evidence keeps piling up that they have……..then expect no mercy when the decent outraged citizens of this country cry “ENOUGH” and drag you into the streets to exact justice. For those actively involved in troop support activities, this is a good reminder why we need active security, even at home.

Barack Obama has the kind of cocksure confidence that can only be achieved by not achieving anything else.
Anyone who has actually had to take responsibility for consequences by running any kind of enterprise– whether economic or academic, or even just managing a sports team– is likely at some point to be chastened by either the setbacks brought on by his own mistakes or by seeing his successes followed by negative consequences that he never anticipated.
The kind of self-righteous self-confidence that has become Obama’s trademark is usually found in sophomores in Ivy League colleges– very bright and articulate students, utterly untempered by experience in real world.
The signs of Barack Obama’s self-centered immaturity are painfully obvious, though ignored by true believers who have poured their hopes into him, and by the media who just want the symbolism and the ideology that Obama represents.
The triumphal tour of world capitals and photo-op meetings with world leaders by someone who, after all, was still merely a candidate, is just one sign of this self-centered immaturity.
“This is our time!” he proclaimed. And “I will change the world.” But ultimately this election is not about him, but about the fate of this nation, at a time of both domestic and international peril, with a major financial crisis still unresolved and a nuclear Iran looming on the horizon.
For someone who has actually accomplished nothing to blithely talk about taking away what has been earned by those who have accomplished something, and give it to whomever he chooses in the name of “spreading the wealth,” is the kind of casual arrogance that has led to many economic catastrophes in many countries.
The equally casual ease with which Barack Obama has talked about appointing judges on the basis of their empathies with various segments of the population makes a mockery of the very concept of law.
After this man has wrecked the economy and destroyed constitutional law with his judicial appointments, what can he do for an encore? He can cripple the military and gamble America’s future on his ability to sit down with enemy nations and talk them out of causing trouble.

Now I’m an Air Force guy, and I know this occurred on an Army post, but I am still pretty sure that Family Housing is in a more secure area where only those with valid military or civilian-employee credentials can enter. Should get some suspect sketches up and see if they can smoke these punks out.
And there can only be one reason to do this…. to cause families pain. It doesn’t further the anti-war movement. It only gives these sick f-cks the joy of hurting someone. Special place in Hell for these scumbags.

Ok….now I know this was an Army Base….but I do know that Barksdale requires ID and Base Pass to get on base. If you are a visitor you have to check in at the Visitors Center, and you MUST have someone on base sponsor you, unless you are only going to the 8th Air Force Museum which is just inside the North Gate. If you are coming onto the base with a military member, you still have to show ID. If for some reason I have to go pick M up at work when he’s on base, he has to call the front gate, they have to have my name on a list and I have to show ID, proof of auto insurance, and registration. How the hell did these scum suckers get on base in the first place? Were they active duty dirt bags? Former military with base privileges? Did someone sponsor them onto the base? Did they manage to get past security? Sounds to me like some heads need to roll for allowing a security breach such as this. :em58:

No, you can easily get in with valid-looking credentials. I was involved with a Pen Test at an un-named military facility, we got past the guards easily with faked cards with names like Homer Simpson and Fred Flintstone under normal, everyday conditions. It took all of 2-3 hours to make some cards that you’d be hard-pressed to differentiate from the real thing without at least a good magnifying glass. . . and scratch ‘em up and dirty them a bit, and fold a corner or two, and they’d never give it a second look.
Me, I thought they’d tumble to the “new plastic” smell of a freshly-laminated document, but they didn’t even notice. .

FYI…it’s an Air Force or Navy BASE…an Army POST…that being said and having been stationed at Ft Campbell, it used to be an ‘open’ post (meaning anyone with a valid US driver’s ID could enter), but I have heard it is a closed post now (meaning you need a military ID to get in).
But sadly, anyone with Google Earth and a double digit IQ can infiltrate almost any military instillation we have CONUS. :em98:

Yes, as a retired MP, Army posts are not terribly difficult to penetrate, same as most bases of the other services.
Good Regular Army MPs would most likely apprehend and process these shitbirds. With any luck, a Guard or Reserve unit MP patrol found them …

If they had pulled this on my mom while my brother was deployed, I would’ve taken their heads off with a table saw and put ‘em on spikes in the yard. Discourages that sort of thing.
