Are you looking for the CURRENT VERSION of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler?

This ought to be a big hit with coal miners.

Or, for that matter, anybody else since we currently produce half of our electricity with coal. But hey, candlelight is so romantic.

What are we talking about? The ObaMarx’s energy “plan”, that’s what. The plan under which he intends to put the coal business out of business and good.

But why don’t we let him speak for himself?:

What I’ve said is that we would put a cap and trade system in place that is as aggressive, if not more aggressive, than anybody else’s out there.[...]

So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they’re going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.[...]

Freedom of Choice under an ObaNazi dictatorship means “the freedom to die if you don’t do as you’re told.”

(Thanks to the Jawa Report)

UPDATE: In our hurry to put this up, we missed an even juicier bit of that very same interview:

You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.

“Sure, my plan will make prices skyrocket, and that’s exactly what I WANT, you bitch-ass punks! Pay ’till it bleeds, assholes. Now give me your vote.”

Of course, neither this nor the clip posted earlier made it into the article that the San Fran Chron later wrote about the interview.

Shocking, isn’t it?

Yes, that was sarcasm.

Why does this not surprise anybody? Have you seen the way the Obamessiah treats his own family? They live in huts and project housing while he lives high on the hog on other peoples money. He’s been redistributing wealth for sometime, most of it toward his own pocket. It’s not just the coal industry, its the entire nation that he wants to bankrupt. He’s helping to carry out the plan initiated by Ayers and his cohorts years ago. Tuesday is almost here. I’ve been praying all weekend for McCain & Palin.

I can’t wait till this is finally over. My wife says the election is affecting my mental health and that I’ve been grumpier then usual. I just want to know if we’ll continue being a free productive nation under McCain/Palin or living in a Facist Big Brother Nanny State under the Obamessiah. :em98:

Rogue - My wife and kids say the same thing about me. Instead of my normal surly, combative self I am now in the Beta Snarling A*Hole Mode v.2.008. Whatever happens we’ll deal with as everything else; trust in God and buy more ammo. Last month I picked up one of the new GSG-5 .22 knock offs of the MP-5. Fun gun to shoot.

it’s sickening and frightening that something like this could happen, almost out of nowhere. here in friggin America, in the friggin 21st century. it should make you sick, scared, combative, angry, etc., or else there is something wrong with you. our very freedom of thought and religion, the right to pursue happiness and prosperity, is at stake and at risk. it’s astonishing, mind blowing, etc.

we are looking at a potential Stalin, Hitler, Kim Il Sung, Castro, Pol Pot or Chavez taking over this country. armed civilian goon squads, re-education camps, the destruction of personal liberties and property. we must win at all costs or life will never be the same. perhaps forever.

that explains my shitty mood all weekend, I couldn’t figure why I was so ill tempered yesterday. It certainly came out in the Instant Bark last night when I was there that’s for sure……and I apologize to my fellow LC’s for being so combative with mayim last night, she just hit a nerve. I don’t take back anything I said to her, but I was a little on the irritable side.

I too can’t wait for this damned thing to be over, I’m sick of the 24/7 coverage, the damned commercials, the signs everywhere, and arguing with my liberal friends and having to suffer their smugness.

Come Wednesday, whoever wins….I get assertive about being an American and the inherent rights guaranteed to me under the US constitution. If you on the left want the “right to choose” then don’t touch my right to own a gun, if you on the left want the “right to free health care” then don’t touch my right to freedom of speech, if you on the left want to redistributed wealth then you better not trample on my right to security in my home from unreasonable search and seizure.

do we have an understanding here?

Interesting back story to this via NewsBusters….

UPDATE: NewsBusters’ Tom Blumer has found out that the San Francisco Chronicle story published on January 18 based upon this January 17 interview did not include any mention of Obama’s willingness to bankrupt the coal industry which you can hear on the audio.

It’s not surprising the Big Media (BM) would want to suppress this sort of unpleasantness, but why is it that it takes the bloggers to ferret out this stuff? Like the embargo on talking about The One’s 20 year close association with Jeremiah Wright, is it not an “honorable” thing for the McCain campaign to mention it?

:em12: Goddammit! Socialism kills initiative and motivation. The PC fairies out fluttering about, bellowing over energy concerns. So two years ago the Other Half and I spend ten grand or so rendering ourselves energy efficient. Or as it may turn out, perhaps just rendering ourselves. Anyway, we have cut our -power consumption by fifty per cent, brand new Carrier HVAC, reseal and replace ducts, energy efficient this and that, the nine yards. In a seventy-five year old house it can be a challenge. The place is sturdy, to say the least. Clear California redwood. So to pay it all off in about eight years, right, the rest gravy. With Obama, not a fucking chance! Am I to be rewarded with my lower bills….noooooooooooo, he’s gonna fuck me with higher rates! Yea, I AM concerned, being Massah rich, over seventy kay a year and just making it right now………….it would seem the socialist losers voting for this creep want some misery along with their company…..or is it the other way around? :em96: :em12:

What I find absolutely brain smashingly stupid about this “plan” is the idea that this will help create jobs in alternative energy, because, like, the command economy philosophy wored so damn well in every other socialist, marxist/communist state afflicted with it.

If I ever win a potload of money, I will take us off the grid with solar and wind. Here in CO, we have an abundance of both. Unfortunately, it’s illegal to collect rainwater (it’s already “owned” by people downstream), so I can’t take us off the grid for water, which also increases annually.

Better yet, we’ll just move to Wyoming.

I have to agree with the impact this nonsense has had on my mental health. I consider myself a fairly logical, tolerant, easygoing live and let live kinda person. But I am angry and apprehensive. I’m angry that we’ve allowed this infiltration of our academic, journalism, and legal profession. Im angry that our society is so freaking stupid to see what is happening. Im angry that a candidate with the qualities of Obama is even contemplated much less in the position that he is in. Im angry that we let our government reach this point. Im apprehensive about the impact this will have on race relations, about how our world wide enemies are viewing this, our economy and its impact on sustenance level existence. And Im angry because I cant determine what the proper response to all this BULLSHIT should be, to be part of the solution. Do I fight administratively? Do I go rouge and identify & target the threats. Im not sure how to proceed. I see this as a LOSE / LOSE scenario.

We MUST (at the very least) address two foundational problems that are base contributors to this situation and they are our “academics” and our media. We cannot allow these two entities to continue on in the vein that they are currently functioning. They are the “source” of the problem.

SO I have determined that I must make actions fall into the following priorities,

be prepared to survive any immediate social strife

be prepared to survive catastrophic economic changes

Determine my approach to address the foundational problems

I am NOT going to sit and do NOTHING and allow this BULLSHIT to continue. I am going to act and participate in SAVING MY NATION.

if it’s any comfort, I have been subtly taking stock of who my high school art students are favoring during all of this upheaval. The stoners and slackers are for odumbo…..the achievers, the ones who have talent and are getting things done are going for McCain. My class breaks down to roughly 16 achievers and 5 slackers….Artists man!!! These kids are artists and they would vote for McCain if they were old enough. I say to them “work on your parents!!!!”

I tell them stories of my old marxist hippie college professors and how I got kicked out of more than one class for telling them that their bullshit marxist pontificating was just that…..bullshit…… So you have one teacher (me) who is doing his damndest to counter the left wing indoctrination that these kids get saturated with…..and they listen to me, it’s a fresh side to things and they listen.

the best thing is, that I’m not alone…..you’d be surprised how many conservative, Christian teachers are in the schools…..we operate quietly, but the message gets spread.

although things don’t look very rosy, just remember this:

Things didn’t look too good in the Ardennes in December 1944
Things didn’t look very good on July 2nd 1863 at Gettysburg
Things weren’t too rosy on December 8th 1941

but victory followed……don’t hunker down, don’t give up, it ain’t over yet.

and I’ll respond to a quote from our token liberal when he said say bye-bye to the Reagan revolution…..

OK, bye bye Reagan revolution, and hello Palin/Jindal revolution. New wheels, new day

I hear ya’ loud and clear Troy! Me too. Just got back from the grocery store, decided on fresh broccoli to go with the chicken tonight. One of those days, my wife noting me in the medicine aisle. I told her I couldn’t decide between Midol or Tums…..
For some reason she found that hysterically amusing. So to embarrass her, I blew my nose in the parking lot, without a hankie. I’m a pretty good shot with one nostril. From my military days, you wager on the strangest shit. I settled on some Tums and a Tramadol for my achey hip joints. Rain does that to me, as much as I love seeing it right now. So now to wait ’till the bubbly guts go away and the happy pill kicks in.
But sometimes I think I’m gonna’ go off my nut, I want it done. I’ve made my preparations as best I can. Anybody needs a humble place to stay in a small town and doesn’t mind cats around is welcome to hunker down here. One friend living in the bay area knows my door is open, as it would be to any Rottie.
I take solace in that, noting so many people having never even thought about civil strife. I do know the wife and I would be shaggin’ ass for home double quick if anything comes down. Got lots of everything….or maybe I’m just slippin’ my cames….

You got Montana just north so lots of room for folks to live. I’m stuck with an upside down mortage right now and the wife likes it here. I do too, to be honest. This little town Dog Patch is conservative as hell and fairly tight. If I were single I’d be there now. But if we lost everything except what I could tow, you may see another face, and willing hands to work…….we are simple people, just do not fuck with our guns, people, God or country!
