Are you looking for the CURRENT VERSION of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler?

Rahm Emanuel is now whining that he’s been “receiving death threats” over his obvious involvement in one of the nastiest corruption scandals in the history of our nation, which is saying a bit when you talk about Democrats.

Back at his home, Emanuel appeared “beet-red,” according to an ABC News cameraman who was invited inside by Emanuel to use his bathroom this morning.

“I’m getting regular death threats. You’ve put my home address on national television. I’m pissed at the networks. You’ve intruded too much, ” Emanuel said, according to the cameraman.

Awwww… What a sad, metrosexual pussy of a seemingly male member of the species. What happened to the Capone-like “man’s man” who once listed a number of defeated political enemies at a dinner, punctuating every cry of “DEAD!” by stabbing his steak knife into the table?

Time to brush the sand out of your vagina, “Rahmbo”, isn’t it?

And, by the way, where was your outrage when Joe the Plumber was subjected to similar treatment and worse simply because he’d had the nerve, nerve to ask your nutless empty suit of a Jug-Eared Marxist Freak Candidate an honest question that your neophyte dumbass Anointed One couldn’t answer without shooting himself in both feet?

Have a fucking cookie and a glass of milk, you gutless pansy masquerading as a man, because you’re beginning to annoy us with your whininess. Make mommy kiss it and it’ll be all better, we promise you.

Cowardly corrupt Chicago Machine fuck. It’s all fun and games bragging about how you’ve “killed” your political opponents until the shoe is on the other fucking foot, isn’t it?

I have to admit feeling some degree of vindication regarding the current situation with the Governor of Illinois.
Typical business as usual —- Most people who voted for Obama haven’t a clue as to the political milieu in Illinois and the pervasiveness of the Democratic Chicago machine politics.

For most Chicagoans, Politics was and is a spectator sport—
Back when Chicago was a real newspaper town, we cut our teeth on the likes of Mike Royko and Irv Kupcinet, as they regaled us with satiric tales of the Machine and it’s players.
Unfortunately, most Chicagoans also know that it was impossible to get a fair hearing when dealing with the city unless you have the means to pay off the politicians, the police or the judges.

“If indicted, Gov. Blagojevich would be the fifth of the last eight elected Illinois governors to be charged with a crime.

If he is sent to jail, the fourth to serve time. Since 1971, 1,000 Illinois public servants have been convicted of corruption, and in Chicago, 30 aldermen have gone to jail.”

Obama is a product of this corruption— Obama worked for Blagojevich, and his wife, Michelle Obama, worked for Daley. Obama endorsed Blagojevich in his two gubernatorial runs and was among his key advisers during his first bid, in 2002.

Lest we forget, Michele Obama got a $200,000 pay raise and a promotion just before Obama gave her employer Blackwell , a one million dollar earmark of government business.
Sounds just like the Blagojevich asking for Obama’s connections in getting his wife on a board follows a pattern. —Obama had done it before.

Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emmanuel filled Blagojevich’s vacated congressional seat— also the former seat of indicted and corruption ridden Dan Rostenkowsi (Pardoned by Clinton)
The US Senatorial leading incumbent candidate , Peter Fitzgerald “surprisingly” decided against running for a second Senate Term.
Essentially this left Obama unopposed in his run for the US Senate, against a token non-resident Republican, Alan Keyes..

It seems like U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald’s ongoing investigation was precipitously interrupted, before a larger probe would lead to more Chicago/Washington, D.C. connections.
Some one obviously tipped off Obama’s Camp. (Likely David Axelrod and his Chicago Tribune connections)
Note: Illinois TV station’s (KHQA) November 5th report of an Obama-Blagojevich meeting on that date was yanked from the Internet after observers noted that it proved Obama was lying when he said he hadn’t met with Blagojevich

We also need to remember that United States AG Patrick Fitzgerald is working an obviously thwarted investigation and Illinois AG Lisa Madigan (also works for the Illinois/Chicago Democratic machine)
In fact, Lisa Madigan’s father, Congressional Rep Michael Madigan is one of the most influential and connected, Machine power brokers in Illinois in his roles of Speaker of the Illinois House of Representatives and Chairman of the Democratic Party of Illinois.

Obama knows that he is sh*t-deep into the Blagojevich Senate seat “Pay to Play” scheme; after all, it is Obama’s Senate seat that is being auctioned to the highest bidder.
Obama didn’t defeat and/or collude with the Clinton machine, the Republican Party and raise almost a billion dollars in private contributions by being un-savvy and not realizing the importance of information, nor did he get to prominence without the backing/blessing of the Chicago Democratic party.—
The investigation was prematurely ended because ultimately all roads lead to the Democratic Machine and Richie Daley, Michael Madigan and golden boy Barack Obama along with his entourage.

Obama knew full well what was going on, and being true to form he treated Blagojevich like he did the racist Reverend Jeremiah Wright and his entire church congregation,, the slumlord/convicted felon Tony Rezko (major Obama Senatorial campaign contributor), Father Michael Pfleger , Jim Johnson ( former Head of Fannie Mae): Robert Malley and Hamas Supporter; Weather Underground terrorist Bill Ayers, Samantha Power (foreign policy advisor) – when the political limelight focuses on his rat pack , Barack does the Obama slimy quick step and throws them all under the bus to avoid tainting his contrived political persona—

Undoubtedly, the word to cut Blagojevich came from the Obama camp and the the Illinois Democratic Political Machine ( namely Michael Madigan and Richie Daley) as it became evident that the Governor was becoming increasingly careless and unstable, thereby jeopardizing Obama and Illinois political insiders.

You had better believe that Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod (Former Washington and Daley machine adviser ) will also become road kill as their involvement with Blagojevich and other corruptions, with the likes of Tony Rezko, come to light.

Admittedly Rod Blagojevich is incredibly stupid, (everyone in Illinois knows you don’t talk deals over the telephone) but he is also has very capable skills of self-preservation. He has publicly burned his own father-in-law, Alderman Dick Mell in his bid to further himself politically.

You had better believe that John Harris (former Daley adviser) and Blagojevich will sing like canaries about the involvements of Obama and and the Democratic Party in the corruption.

Expect a plea deal for both to forestall these revelations from being known the public—- The front needs to be maintained.

    “fiery celt”
    (former Chicagoian)

There, fixed it for you. He is a plumber’s helper, not a plumber. I suppose he could have called himself “Joe the Accountant” too, but it would have had the same end result: he might be able to count to ten, but he ain’t no accountant.

Joe lied. He posed a question that had no basis in reality, and you expected an answer that fit all plumbers?

Now he hocks television converters and someone ghost-wrote a “tell-all” book about his life on the McCain campaign — all fifteen minutes of it.

    And he “felt dirty”.

On Glenn Beck’s show he told us that, “I like to think I’m a little more educated than some out there in politics just because it is interesting to me.”

    :em01:

Let’s get back to talking about how “corrupt” Illinois is, shall we?

It turns out that Illinois isn’t the most corrupt state in the country when it comes to guilty officials. It isn’t even in the top five.

Nope, it ranks only seventh, with 502 convictions. Who is number one? That would be Florida, with 824 convictions between 1998 and 2007. New York follows with 704, and Misha, your state comes in number three with 565 convictions.

Granted, the numbers don’t take into consideration per capita — that is shown here:

Illinois came in at number 22 with four convictions out of one million residents. (Alaska, Sarah Palin’s state, was double that with 7.9 convictions per one million.)

So it is really kinda silly for you to continue with that meme that Illinois is this bastion of corruption and that every person, every politician that comes out of Illinois is a crook, or dirty.

The numbers tell a different story.

  37. LC TerribleTroy, Imperial Centurion Comment by LC TerribleTroy, Imperial Centurion UNITED STATES

    DJ Allyn, ITW @:

Ok… so now we’re going to use numbers… I’ll tell a little story here for you to support my final statement.

Waaaaaayyyy back when…. when I was but a young lad there was this Mayor. This Person was the Mayor of Washington DC. Now at the time, I was still doing my share of recreational pharmaceuticals. I resided out in the suburbs of DC. Now the situation was such that this Mayor was ultimately arrested for drugs. But thats not the real story.. the real story is why he was arrested for drugs. Many said it was for political reasons.. but that wasnt it. you see the truth of the matter was that for about a year leading up to the Mayors arrest it was well known out on the “streets’ that this guy had a major problem. Many Many stories about his travels and activities and such… it was common knowldege. It was also known that certain powers that be tried to reign the Mayor in with no success. Ultimatley they had to arrest him lest he really harm the city with his antics.

Ultimately I thnk it is completly naive to posit (based upon charges and convictions) that one state out ranks another in the area of corruption. Things are well known, the fact that Rhode Island is so low on the list is a testament of thier level of corruption. That is THE MOST MOBBED UP PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN. New Orleans same way.. the constituients themselves know and understand their environment. So when there is talk of the Illinois political system and its corruption it isnt speculation…. its COMMON FUCKING KNOWLEDGE…just as it was common knowledge for a young adult in Northern Va. to have heard too many times from too many people that Marrion Barry was a crackhead…

We haven’t said this AT ALL. What we HAVE been saying is that everyone in the Chicago political system is corrupt. It’s well-known all over the state that it’s harder than heck to get elected unless you play by the “machine’s” rules.

    Dave,
On this one, you need to defer to people who actually KNOW the system. Your boy is in :em72: up to his Jugears. He’s well-versed and well-steeped in the system. He wouldn’t have gotten where he is had he not been. You know the saying, “we’re known by the company we keep.”

  40. LC Subotai Bahadur Comment by LC Subotai Bahadur

Certain things are constants in life. Those who espouse and fight for authoritarian socialism; be it the “National” variety that lives in Europe or the Marxist variety espoused by the Left and its front party here, have certain common characteristics. When in power, morality to them is mere “bourgeois sentimentality”. Any moderation in conduct in against those who oppose the building of the “New Order” is to them objectively treason. Those who are not part of the vanguard of the future must be eliminated without mercy for the sake of the coming paradise.

This devotion was shared by “Iron Felix’s” Chekisti, and by their heirs who worked the cubicles [the ones with only the bare light bulbs, the ones with specialized equipment for eliciting confessions, and those which were lined with tile with a drain in the middle of the floor] at the Lubyanka. They were brothers in faith with those of the Allgemeine Schutz-Staffel whose black was trimmed with pink piping. And with those who wore Feld-grau and assisted the Einsatzgruppen. As were masters of the Killing Fields and the guards in China’s Laogai today.

They view those who are not of their totalitarian faith, whose thoughts differ from that approved by those in authority, those who will not submit or who are considered less than human as organic matter to be processed with less care and consideration than the animals in Upton Sinclair’s The Jungle.

These same guardians of the New Order [Marxist or Nazi] can be depended upon to cry, beg, plead for mercy, claim to be an innocent victim, and deny their deeds occurred when brought to account for what they have done. We saw it when the Soviet Empire fell and individuals, especially in the newly freed satellite countries, had to deal with the individuals they had oppressed for so long. My father saw it when his company liberated the last concentration camp in German hands in 1945 [Gunzkirchen]. And we will see it again.

Rahm Emanual is real good at making threats, when he thinks he has the power. Misha mentioned the death threats to political opponents. I believe he also is the one known for having dead fish delivered to his opponents as a threat. Surely, he was an enthusiastic proponent of the conduct of the Left in the last election. He, the Democrats, and all of their allies on the Left have sown the wind. They better get ready to reap the whirlwind.

They deserve no consideration, no courtesy, no solicitous treatment , no assumption that they are our fellow citizens who merely differ on the ways to achieve the same goals for the good of all. The physical attacks on Republican delegates on the streets of Minneapolis, the attack on the busload of Cub Scouts coming to present the colors, the Democrat mob threatening to kill Michelle Malkin on the streets of Denver, the felony hacking of private computer accounts, the smears and attacks on children, not to mention the campaign finance fraud and the voter registration fraud and voter intimidation by Democrats have proven that no such consideration is deserved. Indeed, for a generation, the Democrats have treated both their political opposition and the country as the enemy.

The usual defenders and justifiers of any Democrat conduct will weigh in about how it is just a few “isolated instances”. We have had decades of “isolated incidents”. None of the Democrats, or their allies on the Left, said one word, one syllable of condemnation when they happened. Indeed, they were insufferably smug and pleased with each occurance. If you tolerate and accept such conduct by your own side, if you defend it, you are responsible for it.

The rules of supposedly “civil” political discourse are done. Just as it makes no sense to fight the Jihadists by the rules when they follow none; it makes no sense to fight Democrats by other than the same dirty means that they themselves use. They set the new pattern. Let them suffer by the same tactics that they have made the new norm.

Emanual is pissed that his address has been revealed? That should just be the beginning. Every Democrat operative should be in fear of the same thing. And every member of their families should fear getting the exact same treatment that they meted out to the Palin family. Since Democrats like to sic both the organs of the state and their lapdog media on civilians who happen to ask questions of their Messiah, they should fear an army of conservatives digging into their lives through every means possible, and revealing every sordid detail that they can find …. or infer …. or make up, just like the Democrats do to us.

And if the devoted authoritarian socialists have their wet dreams start coming true; if Bill Ayers who started Hussein Pasha’s political career tries to eliminate the 25 million Americans he said he would if he cannot “re-educate” them, if Hussein Pasha himself tries to rule outside the Constitution that he himself has expressed dis-satisfaction with, if they attempt to force compliance with their authoritarian goals … well when you sowed the wind, you reaped the whirlwind. If you sow a cyclone, do not be surprised if you reap Hurricane Katrina in return.

    Blago consults with a mouthpiece:

When asked if he would take the case, Genson said: “We’ll make our mutual decision on Monday.”

As the legal maneuvering intensified, some observers speculated that he might be trying to leverage the governorship to his advantage in his criminal case

    Uh… no shit.

“I would be saying, ‘Let me see what I can get in exchange for you resigning. Don’t just give it up for nothing. Let me see if I can get you a better deal,’” said Steve Cron, a defense lawyer from Santa Monica, Calif.

Just like what he said about the senate seat, only now it’s OK.

The Chicago Tribune reported that Emanuel had conversations — captured on wiretaps — before the election with the Blagojevich administration about who would replace Obama in the Senate.

The Tribune doesn’t say how long they sat on the story. I e-mailed them but they didn’t respond.

Blagojevich’s political future remains in limbo. The Legislature could start impeachment proceedings as soon as Monday, and the Illinois Supreme Court could act on a request by Attorney General Lisa Madigan to strip him of his powers.

She can try, but there is absolutely no precedent. Removing a sitting democrat without a conviction, they will find, is harder than the realize.

Beal, the Chicago lawyer, said Blagojevich may be contemplating a deal with prosecutors or be in denial.

    I’ll go with the former.

Chicago defense attorney and former assistant U.S. attorney Ron Safer said the prospect of trading a resignation in a plea deal with federal prosecutors may be far-fetched, but Blagojevich’s nature seems to be a self-serving one in which he gains a personal advantage from every action he takes.

Not so far-fetched considering who might get snared in the net. Look, the Tribune sat on the story before the election, Obama’s minions have reportedly tried to strike a deal before- why wouldn’t Blago try to cut a deal? As you can see from the article, this is his modus operandi. It would behoove everyone to allow Blago to strike the deal. Quinn get the governor’s seat and pardons Blago for the Illinois crimes then grabs the senate seat, then Lisa Madigan gets the governor job she has coveted. Notice how the stories of Blago being insane have quieted down?

The questions end as to whether or not Obama was a party to a crime and how the Tribune sat on a story the could have torpedoed Obama.

    Welcome to Chicago Machine politics.

    UPDATE to my #40 above.

There is a candidate for an addition to the list of Democrat “isolated incidents” in paragraph six. The church attended by Sarah Palin in Wasilla, Alaska was burned. The fire department says arson. It is a candidate, because to be honest the most likely perpetrators would be devotees of Hussein Pasha. I will withhold a direct accusation until the case is cleared by an arrest. However, I am pretty sure that the Democrats and their allies are having private moments in their bunks over two things. First, the church was burned. Second, included in the damage [from other reports than the one that I am linking below], the toys and gifts for underprivileged children gathered by the church were lost. The one regret they might have is that the women and children who were in the church when the alarms went off, escaped unharmed.

I am pretty sure that if the perpetrator(s) is/are caught, that Democrats will display about 0.05 seconds of faux horror at the deed, and then spend days publicly worrying about penalty for the crime ruining the otherwise perfect future of the arsonist(s).

    http://www.google.co.....wD95262Q80

I will note that on Democrat sites, the comments are divided between glee at the fire and anger that anyone could think that they had anything to do with it. Cognitive dissonance, thy name is Democrat.

I was shocked when I learned that the arson occurred during the hours of the day when there were people (women and children, no less!) in the church. That makes it more than just arson– it’s ATTEMPTED MURDER. If this is fire was indeed the result of an intentional act (and not an accident, electrical fire, whatever), may whoever did this rot in prison for the rest of their pathetic lives.

Even had it occurred when the church was empty (which it DID NOT), this was the attempted destruction of private property, a serious crime in and of itself. But the fact that PEOPLE WERE IN THERE makes this an unspeakable horror, attempted murder by fire.

    On another note:

Well, actually, it’s called aggravated arson. It’s only ‘normal’ arson if nobody is inside, and aggravated if there are people in it or it is at a time where the building can be expected to be occupied. A nitpick, I know, but still a serious felony.

I love when people post numbers of ’successful convictions’ to estimate the total level of corruption.

Here’s a tip: If it’s corrupt to the point of being a problem, there won’t be many convictions, because they’re working the system. You’d think that sort of thing would be obvious.

Oh, and PS: Joe was an apprentice plumber. Something his state requires several years of to qualify as a ‘real’ plumber later down the line. Without serving an apprenticeship, they can’t be qualified. You know, it’s just a normal, standard part of career progression. Does not your own career field require newbs to learn the ropes from personal experience before they can be qualified?

Furthermore, whether Joe was an assistant plumber, an accountant, or a shoe-polisher, he asked a good question that was perfectly grounded in reality. If it wasn’t, the Big 0 wouldn’t have answered, would he? The answer he got, and him daring to ask it, is what unleashed a crapstorm against him. So much for ‘tolerance’. Nothing illegal here at all, though. But what Rahmbo was doing? Innocently learning a hard-working trade? heh.

  58. LC Subotai Bahadur Comment by LC Subotai Bahadur

    RE: # 56 above.

Mayim, I am not directing this specifically at you. What follows is a discussion of general principles. It will only apply to you if in fact you yourself decide to adopt such application.

One of the greater rules of thumb to live by goes something like this; “Once is chance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action.”. An individual, or a group, cannot survive if they allow their enemies to repeatedly attack them without mortal consequences. Somewhere immediately after the third attack, if you want to live you are at war. And the moral onus will be on the other party (ies) because by that time you will have turned both of the cheeks that one can safely risk, and gone beyond the call of duty with the third. Mind you, I personally am bloody-minded enough to be on a high Defcon after the first attack. But that is me.

War takes things to an entirely different level.

Let me offer the American Revolution. Edmund Burke was a leader in Parliament of the opposition to the King’s desire to punish America. Americans never had as good a friend in Britain as Edmund Burke. And yet, once we were at war with Britain, Edmund Burke was a member of the enemy’s government. Even as an individual, he was the enemy.

During WW II, not all Germans were Nazis. There was a German resistance to Hitler. There were Germans of conscience. Pastor Martin Niemöller comes to mind. He himself was not an enemy of either the United States, or of Humanity; but he was a German when we were at war. So he was our enemy. Similarly, there were Germans who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust. They were the “Righteous Gentiles” of deserved fame. Oskar Schindler was one of those Righteous Gentiles, and yet if he had been bombed in his factory during the war and killed, it would have been because he was an enemy German.

Times come in the affairs of men, when choices have to be made. Both individuals and groups can only take one path at a time. And decisions once made, cannot be retracted. If Burke had come to America and cast his lot with us, he would have been welcomed and become a leader. He chose instead to stay, and live under the government that stood against what he believed. Despite his heart, he therefore was the enemy.

Schindler, for all of his virtues and the risks he took during the war, still was part of the Nazi war machine. So he was the enemy, and a legitimate target.

Niemöller was a German national when we were at war, but he had literally no free will to act to follow his conscience on the outside, because he spent the war as a prisoner in Dachau. Those who have freedom of choice taken from them, are not morally responsible in the same sense as someone with freedom of action is.

No one, to the best of my knowledge, is being held in Democrat concentration camps yet as a prisoner of conscience. People may or may not be Democrats for any single issue or combination of issues. Their choice. People choose to be adherents of the Democrats and their Leftist allies. They have free choice. They are not Borg. Borg have no free will.

In all of the attacks, in all of the felonies, in all of the immoral, or illegal actions taken by Democrats against both Republicans and middle Americans, we have not heard any outcry from within the Democratic party. Anyone dropping by here in the Empire cannot avoid the loud, and frequently scatological, outcry whenever a Republican does something stupid or immoral. George II, John Sidney McCain III, the collection of greedy lops amongst the Republicans looting the budget to line their own pockets and those of their friends are the objects of our hatred and criticism and contempt. When the Democrats are openly selling a seat in the US Senate for cash to the politically correct highest bidder, when a long-serving Democrat who chairs the Ways and Means Committee [the one that writes all the tax laws for the rest of us] is found to have in effect forgotten to pay his taxes for the last couple of decades, when the basic foreign policy of the party consists of submission in both the Islamic and the western senses; and there is not a single voice raised on the Democrat side, the only rational conclusion is that those “individuals” agree with what is going on. And if they agree, then they are part of the war against us.

Choices. Consequences. Everyone has the first. No one can avoid the second. Democrats want to have the first without the second. It does not happen that way in real life. They have chosen to break down the rules of conduct of politics. They cannot avoid either retaliation or contempt. They cannot have it both ways. And individual Democrats who do not vocally oppose it when something is done in their name by the Party and its leaders or those who are the vocal spokespersons are as culpable as the Party and those leaders and spokespersons. The same thing applies on the other side of the fence.

Going back to the issue of the burning of the church and the reaction of the Democrats; I see glee. And I see denial and ass-covering. No where in that Party is there any sign of either outrage or a determination to police their own ranks if, as is the most likely event, it was done by one of their own.

    Follow up to #67

Having returned from Huffpo, I will comment before undergoing decontamination. First, I have to admit the there seems to be a more restrained tone than the last time I was there.

There were close to 50 pages of comments totalling 3100 +. I admit that I did not go through them all. That would be masochistic enough for an entry in Krafft-Ebbing. From what I did go through, there were more than a few that criticized Blagojevitch for being stupid, obnoxious, and to summarize, self-destructive. Among those whose main comments were about Blagojevitch, there is some minority consensus that he was up to something illegal. But that was not the majority of the comments. And of those, there were more than a few noting the illegality but also that it was Illinois and what was unusual, or wrong, about that?

What is interesting was that there was a split between those defending Imanual [and Hussein Pasha] and those attacking him for his own corruption and saying he was a danger to Hussein Pasha.

Those numbers, however, were swamped by two other trains of thought. The first of these was that it all is an evil Rovian plot being carried out by Bush-flunkie Fitzgerald. The proof adduced for him being a Bush operative attacking Democrats was the fact that while he had prosecuted Scooter Libby, he had failed to put Bush, Cheney, and Rove in prison. The other train of thought was that supposedly Fitzgerald is an Obama operative taking out Blagojevitch before his stupidity could harm “The One”.

All in all, once you cut through the crazy, I don’t really see any great amount of concern over illegal conduct as something that should not happen, merely over a) whether is it being carried out competently, and b) whether it can all be blamed on Bush-Cheney-Rove.

Nope, no moral revelations or Great Awakenings here. They are still reliably the enemy.

I thank the author of “Away in the Manger,” above. Brilliantly-stated. Now if only Patrick Fitzgerald can leverage those ACTUAL WIRETAP TAPES into enough political pressure to prevent even the ruling Dems from firing him, before a TRUE “Fitzmas” occurs.

Probably won’t happen. Fitzgerald will probably get canned, the newest Democratic Party scandal will get low media attention, and nobody but the bloggers and their cadre will ever remember the guilty were usually (but not always) merely Democrats.

Meanwhile it’s hilarious watching the TRULY outrageous Dems go down. Kwame Kilpatrick (#10 in the Most Felonious Dems list this year, or so I seem to recall). Willy “Cold Cash” Jefferson — another real charmer. And that intrepid hunter of his wife’s killer, Orenthal J. Simpson, now convicted petty thief.

(Okay, so O.J. is not an ELECTED Dem. But it’s fun watching a few of the black crooks get their just dues, just before the ever-PC Dems sweep into power and shrug because it all is “too late to fix,” and Joe Crook now has to serve his actual time. Watch for O.J. to take a shank before he serves his term.)

Politically we put up with electing our criminals, spending up to and maybe now even more than one billion by one candidate to buy an office where so many staggering feats of criminality can now be conducted.

Hussein Obama, code name Renegade, has bought and paid for that very election. Dem voters gave him the reins, and now we get to see how real crooks work, finally handed the keys to the country.

No, I was not there. My father was a rifle squad leader in the 5th Infantry Regiment, 71st Infantry Division, 3rd US Army. His unit went the farthest east of any American Army unit in the European Theater. Days before VE day, his company liberated Gunskirchen, a sub camp of Mauthausen KZL. It was the last Concentration Camp in Nazi hands. It was the one that the Germans were trying to march the inmates of the other camps to there to finish killing them off. The main camp was liberated by the 11th Armored days before.

I did not find out about the details of the above until after his last heart attack [he never regained consciousness] when we were going through his papers. His military records were there. He was far more decorated than I ever knew, and was one of the first non-white squad leaders in the Infantry. I knew that he got his US citizenship because of his service in WW II. Some day, I may tell his story, as being Chinese in America was a very different proposition than today.

After his last heart attack, I was contacted by a number of his friends and our relatives who passed on to me that his last request was to be buried under the flag he had served and with the military honors he had earned. You can bet that it was done.

As you may have noticed, I have a slight interest in history. I am considered by some to be a subject matter expert on WW II, and I have more than a few resource publications on the Holocaust I have collected within a few feet of where I am typing. Combine that with my research on my dad’s unit after I found out about it, including a booklet they published themselves about the liberation of the camp [the idea was that they wanted something with pictures to prove to people at home what they told them was real] while stationed in Germany; and I know a bit about what happened there.

But there is no way that I am part of the Greatest Generation. Not worthy to be considered as such at all.

There is no right horse for any of us. If the individual parts of the whole causes us to lean heavily in one direction or the other, then we are doing ourselves a dis-service “claiming to be independent (sitting on the fence). I believe as Troy and others do, that the lack of term limits causes the majority of this corruption and deceit. Dem or Rep don’t matter to these shills until they are up for election (financially profitable). I wish there was a party solely serving all of my beliefs, but unfortunately, it would be much smaller than the moral catch-all Republicans or the immoral catch everything else Democrats. Many times, it’s the “morality” thing that causes fence-sitting. (Abortion comes to mind). The Good Lord knows that He is the only One to pass judgment on morality.

Also, it explains a hell of a lot (everything, really), and it’s really not that difficult at all.

Just to see how ignorant Americans are on the topic, try to answer from scratch, “What is money and from what does it arise?” If you can give the correct answer I will consider rethinking my stance, but until then I have seen not the slightest indication you comprehend basic economics. I do not believe in abusing drugs (though I think that if someone wants to, it’s their own body to screw up). I do not believe in drinking to excess. I believe in behaving with dignity in public; I am uncomfortable around people who dress or act like thugs, gangsters, or punks. I think “pride parades” are usually pretty disgusting spectacles. What is money and from what does it arise?

Money is a medium of exchange representing value produced through work (be it work on producing a good or a service). America’s money was originally backed by precious metals held by the government; today, it has value only by fiat (decree from the government). A given good or service is “worth” whatever the market deems it to be worth; thus the phrase “whatever the market will bear”. As supply of a good or service goes up, price tends to go down; as demand goes up, price tends to go up.

  108. LC AnnieMcPhee Comment by LC AnnieMcPhee

Money always emerges out of barter. The difficulties of finding trading partners under barter systems results in the emergence of commodity monies. Durable, portable, and divisible commodities, like gold and silver, typically fit the bill as money best. Money and related institutions emerge as an unintended consequence of self interested trading. The evolution of such institutions is best left to the competitive market forces that created them in the first place, as governmental intervention will result in inflation and other distortions.

Skye Child, the left has done a 180 on the bailouts without the slightest word of explanation, though if you pay attention, the reason is clear. They opposed the AIG bailout with every fiber of their being, with great ferocity (talking morons like shakesville and pandagon here) and at first seemed to oppose the auto bailout…until it turned out to be Republicans who blocked it. Suddenly they attacked the NON-bailout with the same ferocity that they attacked the first bailout. Not a word of explanation why; but it is patently obvious that it’s because it was Republicans opposing it. What a bunch of fucking idiots.

it’s like saying that since rape involves sexual penetration, banning rape would be a significant stepping-stone to banning sex.

Uh, no. How you can even try to liken this to my example shows you’re thinking with your heart and not your head. Rape is a violent act, sex is a legal consensual act and your example doesn’t bridge the two in any legal sense.

Hate crimes laws takes a violent and threatening act and compounds the offense by assuming the thought processes and motives of the assailant, thus criminalizing those thoughts with additional weight of penalty. For now, a violent act is needed before the “hate crime” can be considered but it isn’t necessarily always going to be that way. Already, such things happen abroad.

The only difference is intention– that is, thoughts. The victim is just as dead.

I do not believe that I have ever heard anyone here disagree with that law or suggest that it should be repealed either. Most likely because the way you control gun violence is to make laws to remove guns from criminal… and enforce them. Of course, it seems the last part, the enforcement, is what is lacking.

ATF: accelerant poured around Palin’s church

    Dec 15 03:31 PM US/Eastern

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Federal investigators in Alaska say an accelerant was poured around the exterior of Gov. Sarah Palin’s home church before it was heavily damaged by a fire.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Monday that the accelerant was poured at several locations around the church, including entrances.

Federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Special Agent Nick Starcevic says laboratory tests will determine what the accelerant was.

The blaze was set at the main entrance of the Wasilla Bible Church on Friday evening while a small group, including two children, were inside. No one was injured.

Palin, the former Republican vice presidential candidate, was not at the church at the time of the fire but visited on Saturday.

    Underlining above is my emphasis.

Incidentally, if you go to the article, read the comments. I’m pretty sure of the leanings of those who supported the burning [and the possible murder of the women and children]. 176. LC Subotai Bahadur Comment by LC Subotai Bahadur

Usually, I try to reason out what I say, before coming to the Empire. However, I think I just want to throw out a question or two and see what the reaction is.

Most of the LC’s have opinions about the professionalism and even-handedness of both Federal law enforcement in general and the BATFE in particular; based on either personal observation by those of us who have worked in the field, or on general observation and reports.

It is noted that there is very little media or government commentary on this church arson as opposed to others that have occurred. One can draw a reasonable inference that such a contrast is because a) exposure would be counter-productive to the image the Democrat/Media Complex wishes to project, and b) that indeed they know or suspect that their own people or ideological allies are responsible. In any case, it seems to be their intent, and in their interest, to keep the story quiet.

I further note that there is a similar dynamic involved in the coverage of the Blagojevitch case. The media and the government are doing their best to limit the actual information extent, and to make sure that the information out there is misdirecting at best.

So, just to agitate the feces:

We already have BATFE involved in the process. One could conceive, although I do not have any definite indication as yet, that based on Sarah Palin’s past candidacy that both the Secret Service and the FBI are at least keeping an eye on things. If the investigation should lead to members or allies of the Democratic Party as perpetrators, what role do you see Federal law enforcement filling? Will they follow the evidence where it leads and prosecute? Will they become “opaque” and let the trail grow cold? Will evidence be “lost” or “mishandled” so as to make prosecution impossible? And just to link it to a sub-thread above ….. if it leads to the same person(s) noted above …. what odds do you think that either “hate crime” statutes or Civil Rights Act sanctions will be applied against those who attack a Christian church attended by a white female conservative candidate, when the attack is based on those beliefs and attendance?

Feel free to discuss the implications of your answers.

I have a more prosaic explanation for the lack of media coverage. You seem to be comparing this incident to things like Waco or Ruby Ridge. Why were those events covered extensively, but not this one? Simple: This was a smaller incident, and– far more importantly– nobody died.

I can guarantee you that if people had actually perished due to the murderer’s blaze, this would be the top story on every newspaper in the nation.

    RE: #175 above

Just for clarification, I was NOT thinking of Ruby Ridge or Waco. Mind, I have no doubt that there will be reprises of those events in our relatively near future, and I am hoping for “Merriam’s Corner” moments when that comes to pass.

However, what was on my mind when I asked the questions were the numerous black churches that were burned in the 1960’s, fortunately most of them without loss of life, and the fictional 1970’s black church burnings that were made up by William Jefferson Blythe Clinton III and promoted by the media for weeks. Even after the events that were supposedly “seared” into Clinton’s contemporaneous memory while he was growing up were proven not to have happened, the media kept pushing the fictional meme that promoted their own Weltanschauung.

Could it be that to the media, and the Democrats, the evils of burning churches and trying to kill women and children are only wrong if certain churches are burned and the women and children are of the politically correct colors? And if they do not fit the Left’s defining criteria, such activities are commendable?

And No, Mayim, I am not referring to you. You have stated your opposition, unlike the media and the Left [who are still having some special time alone in their bunks].

The fact that he is not a “Licensed Plumber” in no way means that he’s not a plumber.
Some plumbers work as hourly employees for plumbing companies.
Freelance plumbers work piecework instead, out of a plumbing company, and are employed under that company’s license,, as plumbers.
The license holder is directly responsible for quality of his work. If he screws up, takes too long, no more work.

Some plumbers who freelance can even cherry pick jobs if they’re good enough to earn money for the licensee’s business doing the trickier jobs as piecework.

  213. LC Subotai Bahadur Comment by LC Subotai Bahadur

I may regret this, and Annie if I am mis-interpreting what you said, just let me know and I will retract what I say.

Mayim, I believe the sentence in question is as follows:

Your associates on the hard left are terrorist sympathizers at best, terrorists at worst.

It is a complete sentence. The subject is “Your associates”. That is modified by the prepositional phrase describing which associates, “on the hard left”. The verb is “are”. It has been too many decades since I had to diagram a sentence [a task that while drudgery, is a valuable tool for teaching English, and which seems to be honored totally in the breach rather than the performance these days]; but it is I believe, a dual predicate. “Terrorist sympathizers” is modified by the clause “at best”, and “terrorists” is modified by the clause “at worst”.

Once you finish parsing the meaning, I cannot find any evidence that you are being described as being on the hard left. Your associates are in fact being so decribed, and further denominated. You have noted that you may have Asperger’s syndrome; which may make it hard for you to do other than take what is written literally. No problem with that here, although I would offer that since you frequent here, and this place is the home of satire, sarcasm, and hard core chain-yanking in addition to some fairly sophisticated political and military analysis; that you might want to make sure that you are Threat Condition White when you reply unless you have on considered reflection decided that you are under attack. Once you so decide, go to ThreatCon Red and have at. But looking at the series of threads since you returned under the name Mayim [I understand that you were here before under another name] mistaken reactions seem to be a consistent problem.

Now as far as the sentence under consideration, if you were reading it literally; there should be no problem with being insulted. You may want to take issue with the description of your associates, or of the linking of them to you as your associates, but that is a separate matter.

As a working hypothesis, since you have your own issue that places you on the other side politically from most of us, it is not unreasonable that since you support them consistently electorally they are your associates. Mind you, that I am not criticizing your right to so choose. We all have to prioritize what we believe in. I rather suspect that I am not alone in disagreeing with you on points, but you have to live your life as you will.

The description of those associates as being hard left is rather self evident. I reference LC Gunsniper in #145. I would further add Hussein Pasha’s recorded statements criticizing the Constitution because it did not give the government power to redistribute the nation’s wealth. And his desire to create a Civilian National Defense Force [by conscription] as well funded and powerful as the military but outside military control. Free countries do not have private armies running around at the behest of the ruler. Ever. The historical precedents are universally bad for that. Then there is his ongoing association with a terrorist bomber who stated that it would be necessary to kill 25 million Americans who would not accept reeducation to the new order if the Left took power. Nor let us overlook the fact that the foreign policy advisors he has appointed other than Hillary are known for ties to and sympathy for declared terrorist organizations; i.e. Hamas and Hezbollah. Which stands match the Left worldwide.

All in all, I would interpret the sentence that you objected to as being reasonable truth.

Oh, and when dealing with foreign words and phrases; they can be interpreted literally as say when we are discussing what “x” group means when they say “y”; OR we can realize that when foreign words and phrases get picked up by those who speak American English [especially a group as ... unorthodox as the citizens of the Empire] sarcasm, satire, and the aforementioned chain yanking is common. I recently had a bumper sticker made up for a daughter, one of whose degrees is in English. It says:

English doesn’t borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and rifles their pockets for loose grammer.

Our desires for fatwas are expressions of our defiance and contempt for the narrow minded bigotry of the Jihadists who issue them. We steal their words and use them against them.

Annie, if I went off on the wrong tangent, my apologies. Please let me know. And LC SkyeChild G.L.O.R., Imperial Grammar Hun: If I have buggered up the parsing of the sentence, the same apologies and let me know. Thanks.

that you might want to make sure that you are Threat Condition White when you reply unless you have on considered reflection decided that you are under attack. Once you so decide, go to ThreatCon Red and have at

My attempt to goad Mayim into pissing herself when she realized she is tangled up in another contadiction failed. She didn’t take the bait. No offense meant to anyone registered with any party but my “fence-sitting” was intended to silence Mayim for a dozen comments and think about some of the great advice she’s been getting.

    Annie,

Not as interesting as one would think. My first impulse was to use the DefCon [Defense readiness Condition] spectrum, but figured it would have to be explained in the middle of the paragraph. Incidentally, DefCon 5 is peacetime routine. DefCon 1, the organic waste has hit the rotating airfoil. The ThreatCons I used are an older system parallel to the Homeland Security rainbow. I’m sure that you’ve heard or seen the current Homeland Security threat level. Here is a chart of them: http://www.nationalt.....visory.jpg

    The older system is:

ThreatCon White is a non-specific threat of terrorism
ThreatCon Yellow is a specific threat of terrorism
ThreatCon Red is an imminent threat of terrorism

I used it because even at the lowest level, it implies there are possible threats. Which in the case of Mayim, would be an appropriate level of alertness. I don’t expect him [or anybody] to come into the Empire and assume that it is all bunnies and unicorn farts. You don’t enter a battle of wits carrying a half load of ammunition. But you also do not come into the arena assuming that everybody is out to get you, when we are known for more than a certain level of rational discussion and civility if it is reciprocated.

Hats off to whoever started the KKKay watch site.. thats some funny shite.

Annie here’s some ammo….. get Cliffy to play.. he claims he is a disabled vet.. (officer type even) and I had him telling tales to me for awhile….. HE IS FULL OF SHIT. Oh.. he’s disabled (if being dumb as a box of rocks and a liar qualify)but his war stories are full of holes. So if you really want to mind fuck him.. get him to tell you stories and then tell him he was a REMF (Rear Echelon Mutha fucker) who got riffed in the early nineties cause his fitness reports (fitreps) we’re so poor. And the only thing he ever “lead” was the line at the chow hall. ….Grant in Houston is a ancient homosexual who’s pissed because (like Jerimiah Wright) he believes that AIDS was a government conspiracy to kill all homosexuals. Fester hangs around cause he thinks that one day he’s gonna “get lucky” with Kay…..They are the most bizarre group I have come across on the web….. have fun… lull them in and then bitch slap them……ah…..psy war…..one of my favs!…..Goodtimes….Goodtimes indeed.

My friend, Troy, I have never been banned from any forum; oddly enough. I participated in the early NOW (National Organization for Women) wars and I have posted at the MS forums, and I participated in the early Themestream (a free writer’s forum) but NEVER have I been banned against my will. Never will I choose to be. At times radical feminists have sought to “out” me, to expose my real life information, but they fucked up - they never got it right, and at this point it would be moot. What they DID do was try to expose people who were NOT me - they tried to name an innocent homeschooling family and overstepped their bounds so fucking far that the ENTIRE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF WOMEN BOARD SHUT DOWN because of it! And me? I laughed. I exposed the main bully of the NOW as a transsexual - someone who bullied her “womanness” over every REAL woman who up and came…but who was born a man/male. It made national news. (Wendy McElroy.) S(he) was the biggest bully in those forums.

I’ve been through the fucking wringer. They tried desperately to target my kids for death…as though they had guns LOL. I called them EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. They exposed the wrong woman in my stead, and I got HSLDA on their asses. It got the entire NOW boards shut down. Many boards have been shut down through such cowardice and falsity. I post here OPENLY with my REAL IP available to the admin. because Misha fucking rocks.

If you want to hear stories just ask. In the meantime, this is the best board in the history of boards.

TT, I assume you are on a DSL. If you are unplug the cable and shut down your system. Replug and repower and it will alter your ip. It almost always works for me. That’s usually enough to get by KKKay’s ban. Like everything else about her, her banning skills are pretty feeble.

I can’t get enough of agitating those pinheads. It really is a cast of characters out of a Zippy comic strip. Most of them are pathetic enough for whom I even feel some pity (even KKKay). Not cliffi though - a profoundly miserable and hostile POS. A real smarmy condescending maggot. How can your possibly out debate that! :em99:

And Kay has a new post which flawlessly explains the accelerant in the exits:

Sarah Palin’s church fire was caused by an electrical fire!

this fire was caused by the number one cause this time of year in the winter states: electrical fire. So, it appears Sarah Palin owes liberals in this country an apology for blaming us in starting this fire. Spit. The End.

Why, my own little town of Streator has a statue of one of the angels of World War II, the Coffee Pot Lady. During the war, Streator saw about 1.2 million servicemen pass through town (we were a major hub for the old Sante Fe line) and faithfully doling out coffee and sandwiches as the trains stopped for fuel and water were dozens of women who made the long trip for the soldiers seem a little less impersonal and frightening.

Nope, it was arson; that is not even in dispute. And someone on the left did it. The people who are owed an apology are the parishioners, and Sarah Palin, for being the vicious target of lunatic attacks about the parentage of her baby. And all of you on the left need to apologize to all the rest of us for supporting these terrorists, for nursing them in your bosom, for creating them. But even if the apology is offered, I wouldn’t accept it - not my countrymen any longer.

  233. LC Aggie Sith Comment by LC Aggie Sith UNITED STATES

    Hmmm….for the guys!

One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were
getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she
eventually says, ‘I don’t feel like it, I just want you to hold me.’

I said, ‘WHAT??!! What was that?!’

So she says the words that every boyfriend on the
    planet dreads to hear…

‘You’re just not in touch with my emotional needs as
a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man.’

She responded to my puzzled look by saying, ‘Can’t
you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?’

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that
    night, I went to sleep.

The very next day I opted to take the day off of
work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went
shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her
while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn’t
decide which one to take, so I told her we’d just buy them all. She wanted
new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said, ‘Lets get a pair for
    each outfit.’

We went on to the jewelry department where she
picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you… she was so
excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I
started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet
when she doesn’t even know how to play tennis.

    I think I threw her for a loop when I said, ‘That’s
fine, honey.’ She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the
excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said, ‘I think
this is all dear, let’s go to the cashier.’

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out,
‘No honey, I don’t feel like it.’

Her face just went completely blank as her jaw
    dropped with a baffled, ‘WHAT?’

I then said, ‘Honey! I just want you to HOLD this
stuff for a while. You’re just not in touch with my financial needs as a
man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman.’

And just when she had this look like she was going
to kill me, I added, ‘Why can’t you just love me for who I am and not
for the things I buy you?’

Apparently I’m not having sex tonight
either….but at least that bitch knows I’m smarter than she is.

Subotai, being that you’re fairly new to our little clubhouse let me fill you in on who Warspite was and why he’s so revered around here. He was an elderly gentleman who was wheelchair bound and whose sight was failing….but the insight and wisdom and pure intellect he put in his writing was without comparison. a lot of his posts were pretty long, but never tedious or boring. I learned so much from him, just by reading what he wrote. He was the intellectual and wizened voice here for only a short time, as he passed away in November 2005. I had the honor of compiling his posts into a memorium that is linked to at the top of the page. I got the chance to read EVERYTHING that he posted, and it was a magnificent thing to do…..I have my own personal copy on my computer and reference it a lot….just for inspiration.
