Getting a little short on cash for the holidays? Well “W” and Congress have produced the “speed lane” documentation for empty pocketed businesses. I trust the pack to creatively invent their own individual failed businesses to get in on the hand-outs. All you need to do is “promise” to vote for the “D” ticket during the next elections. Just keep in mind, Lugosi and Reid’s “bi-partisan” promises when you sign-up.
Jump on in and collect your neighbor’s hard-earned dollars while the fuckweasels in DC, fight over who to give them too. All in the Christmas spirit, of course.

Not to tell you what to do, but I’d opt for the Grand Cayman bank deposit. They’re what the Swiss banking industry used to be about….. privacy. After all we wouldn’t want the IRS involved, no?

This is a true story. I shit thee not.
One of my daughters is friends with a couple in a nearby Colorado medium sized city. She visited them last weekend. The husband of the couple is a city planner for that city. He mentioned that in the previous week the city planner’s office had gotten a phone call from the Obama transition team. They were told:
You can bet that they had the list ready, and it did not fit on a 3 x 5 card.
Granting that this city is not anything like a conservative stronghold, but you’re really are going down the national gazetteer pretty far reaching them. Incidentally, this city is known for wanting to spend large hunks of the local taxpayers’ money over their objections. When the people get a vote, they turn it down; and the city finds ways of getting around the vote and spending the money [and raising the taxes therefore] anyway, even with our Taxpayer Bill of Rights.
Offering them as much Federal money as they can dream up an excuse for is going to get real expensive for the rest of us.
I commend the classic formulation BOHICA to the LC’s of the Empire.
Oh, and Jackboot, be sure that a copy of the form will shortly find itself in the possession of said city planner. [and further copies may find themselves posted on various local bulletin boards].

Bush wouldn’t sign it until they produced a feasible business plan and acknowledged that it was a loan.
As far as I know, they haven’t put one together, but, they HAVE furnished the deposit information.
OK, just for giggles, let’s say the auto industries get back to production.

And,, what wiith no loans available to as many folks as there were before, which were not enough anyhoo…

I’ll fill it out and mail it off. If I can get a billion or so, I can pay off my bills, buy a nice house on the river, and an island or 2 in the Caribbean. I’m sure being a Computer Services Company without a business plan, not in bankruptcy, but if my little

Actually, what I am watching for is for the Federales to start offering guaranteed zero interest auto loans to consumers to purchase the products of the Big 3 only. This was suggested in the 1970’s when the Japanese first began eating our lunch by cheating and actually offering products that Americans wanted to buy.
This would actually close the cycle. The means of production would be property of the State due to the equity given in return for the bailout and the threat of suspension of future subsidies. The workers would be being paid indirectly by the State. And consumption would be under the control of the state. Non-Big 3 automakers in the US would foreclosed from access to the market due to credit costs. The only way that they would survive would be to adopt the Big 3/UAW model.
What we would have would be a facade of capitalism, the forms of the National version of Socialism [private companies would exist, but only under the guidance and control of the State] and it all could be converted to the Leninist form of Socialism with the stroke of a pen [and perhaps a few show trials of an Oppressor of the Proletariat or two]. Here is a model for the Democrats to accomplish the assimilation of pretty much anything else that they want, including health care.
And the billboards with the benign, smiling face of Hussein Pasha would loom over all in Detroit and Dearborn.
There are a couple of phrases that Natasha might remember from her time in the Rodina:
“How do you serve?”
“I serve the Working People!”

This is what I was talking about during the election, this big govt “compassionate conservatism” was a disaster from the start. Yall gonna hate me for this but I don’t see this election as being a loss but rather as an opportunity to rebuild and start from scratch. A prime opportunity to rebuild the Reagan coalition of fiscal conservatives and social conservatives. When the Republicans started that odd blend of social conservatism with fiscal socialism/liberalism they disenfranchised many voters(like myself). Thus you end up with this robbery of the taxpayers pockets.
When the Reagan ran for office he advocated compromise between Fiscal and Social conservatives, a give and take. Not anymore because all notions of fiscal restrainst were swept under the rug in favor of the social issues. Not that I’m saying that social issues aren’t important, but why would I consider voting for someone when I get nothing in return.
Misha you said it best back during the primaries when there was all that fighting over whether to hold your nose and vote for McCain or simply voting for something you believed in. You mentioned that for a compromise to happen there has to be something to gain for both parties. I agree. Hopefully out of the ashes of this election we can build a new social/fiscal conservative coalition where we can work together on the areas we all agree on and learn to compromise on things that are more controversial.
Not trying be be my usual pain in the kiester self, just felt I had to vent about some things. :em96:

I had not thought of Scroogling phonetic Chinese before. Don’t know why not. Mind you, I already have that site bookmarked, both because of my fondness for Brown coats, and because of the expletives there. I was a well brought up Chinese child, and was not taught to cuss in either Cantonese or Mandarin. I did not have to learn until about 2000 when a writer friend of mine needed to learn how to cuss in both for something he was working on. So I learned so I could teach him.

I wish I could cuss in Mongol. It was, as noted, Chinese. Those cities, I think, are in for something akin to that in the normal course of events. Much of the damage will be self-inflicted.

By the way, that comes from Firefly too. Jayne wore t-shirts with various sayings on them in Chinese. That was one of them. I don’t know if the actor knew what he was wearing.
